Apple Releases Web Tool To Unlink Phone Numbers From iMessage

Apple has quietly released a new web tool that makes switching between iOS and other platforms a bit easier. The web tool lets you instantly deregister your phone number from Apple's iMessage system regardless of whether still have access to your iPhone.

If you still have your iPhone, simply go into settings and turn off iMessages. In the event that you don't have access to your iPhone, you can choose your country and enter your phone number on the webpage. After entering your phone number, Apple will send you a text with a 6-digit confirmation code. Enter the code on to the webpage and click submit, your phone number will no longer be linked with Apple's iMessage system.
