Microsoft's Surface Pro 2 Gets a Quiet Speed Bump to 1.9GHz

Microsoft has confirmed in a statement with the Verge that a newer Surface Pro 2 tablets are shipping with a faster 1.9GHz Intel Core i5 processor. The original version of the device shipped with a 1.6GHz chip.

The company didn't say why they rolled out the update silently, but they note that "routine" tweaks are normal based on part availability and customer value.
